In conclusion, the arguments from analogy given in "a defense of abortion" are logical. Abortion of an unwanted child based on the fact that you did your best to not have the child simply seems okay, in my opinion. There is no question of murder or of anything else for that matter. There are other extreme alternatives that could be brought about, but as was stated, they are extreme. One could have a celibate life with no sex, which could prevent pregnancy. This is comparable to never opening the windows of the house. Another extreme alternative would be to have a hysterectomy in order to not become pregnant. This makes no sense because at some point a child might be welcomed into this world by the mother. Correspondingly, this is like having a house with no windows whatsoever, and what kind of fun would that be? The analogies that were discussed in this paper are not perfect analogies, questions of morality are tough ones and there will never be a cut and dry solution. A grey area will always exist in subjects of this matter.…
