8. There are some side effects and risks associated with the teeth bleaching procedure. These include:
One of the problems is that teeth bleaching can cause gum sensitivity. It can result if the whitening gel comes into contact with gums. But irritating and gum sensitivity is temporary.
If the bleaching agent contacts unprogected tissue ir can result chemical burns.
Overbleaching, known as "bleached effect", is intensive treatment that provides a large change in tooth colour over a very short treatment period.
Pain for "sensitive teeth". Risk of increased hot/cold sensitivity.
Risk of bleachorexia (An unhealthy obsession with bleaching teeth).
Bleaching is not recommended in children under the age of 16 and pregnant women.
9. If you cannot afford going to a dentist to get professional teeth bleaching services, you have the option of using take-home teeth whitening kits. These teeth whitening products can be easily used at home, although they do take longer time to work.
You can use Bleaching Strips that you stick on your teeth, Trays with bleaching gels and Brush-on whitening pens.
