If symptoms are allowed to progress, a person with RSI can have protracted or chronic symptoms. However, RSI can be prevented.
Repetitive strain injury affects both men and women. In 2003, 25 percent of women and 22 percent of men has or experienced RSI. It is very common. Over half of women and one fourth of men in our population stated they experienced RSI, but never sought medical treatment.
It is very important to report Repetitive Strain Injury to your supervisor or employer. If the injury goes untreated, more serious damage can be done to the affected limbs.
