There are some foods in markets that may appear to be normal, but actually have lots of alterations in their genetic make up. These foods are referred to as Genetically engineered foods--plants created for human or animal consumption using the latest molecular biology techniques (csa.com). Genetic engineering uses DNA from organisms that have never been part of the human food supply to change the overall nature of the food consumed. Because living organisms are highly complex, genetic engineers cannot possibly predict all of the effects of introducing new genes into them. Deeper considerations of the powers of Genetic Engineering reveal serious dangers. Fears are increasing over the concern that genetic engineering technology is riskily used, the altered foods bring about many health dangers, and the environment is under attack.
