Yates
Yates mostly use the democratic management style as it helps them achieve their objective to increase staff skills, this is because in the democratic management style, a group of staff discuss how tasks should be completed. Yates may use this management style when they have a lot of trained staff however, they will change to a autocratic management style when new staff arrive, the manager will need to be autocratic on the new staff as they will most likely not be trained in carrying the daily tasks involved in the day to day running of Yates. On the staffs first day the manager will be totally autocratic and will tell the staff exactly what to do but as the new worker gets used to the tasks the manager will slowly become more democratic with the new worker. The manager will do this by commanding tasks to the worker but slowly start to coordinate tasks to the worker. An example of this would be on the first day the manager would tell the worker to stock up products on the shelves, the worker will be told exactly where each product will go, after a while the manger will simply say "stock these products" then the manager will become more democratic on the worker in a group where the worker will complete tasks in a democratic way.
