When we choose a Honda over a Ford, someone in the Detroit area loses his paycheck. When we load up on Chinese-made suits or Indian shirts, another textile factory in South Carolina closes down. On average, every American is directly or indirectly responsible for thousands in imports annually. This means that import purchases by every 10 American consumers effectively send one domestic job abroad.
Truth be told there is nothing wrong with outsourcing. The U.S is part of the Free Trade that encourages trade among nations. Outsourcing brings in employment to foreign countries as well as to the U.S, for instance Honda manufacturing plants opened in the U.S creates jobs for Americans. …
