Abortion is the spontaneous or induced termination of a pregnancy after, accompanied by, resulting in, or closely followed by the death of the embryo or fetus, as stated in the Merriam-Webster Dictionary. In society today the number of aborted babies each year is increasing rapidly. About 43% of women will have one, or occasionally more, abortions during their lifetime. Hospitals and clinics perform more than a million abortions per year. Abortions are obviously in great demand. But why? Every woman who chooses to have an abortion seems to have her reasons as to why she chose to, and most of the time the reasons are quite understandable. Many are related to their age, they are usually under the age of 25, their marital status, most are unmarried or are separated from their spouse or even because of their economic status, and many of them are poor. The majority of people today may gear their views against abortion, because they feel as though it is morally wrong. Yet, the question still remains, 'Should mothers to be have a right to abortion?' My answer is, yes mothers should have that right.…
