Canada has one of the most liberal, "tolerant, respectful and diverse societies" in today's world . It is a leading nation of today and therefore it must pave the path for the nations of tomorrow. Canada must secure its future as well as the future of its global peers. When entering foreign trade agreements, Canada should consider the human rights issues of those countries. However, they should not address human rights issue through sanctions and embargos.
