There are some advantages to having a minority government like making them quite responsive to the view of members and Parliament. Majority governments do not have this benefit as they follow party discipline, with a minority, member are forced to take into account views from all members. Accountability and transparency (which is simply a higher level of communication) are two more benefits. Although these are great, the main reason a minority falls under is because of the instability factor; the party constantly has to negotiate with the oppositions because it is unable to pass bill on its own which makes it quite inconsistent. Another major flaw to a minority government is the inability to pass blame on them.
