Racism is still a serious issue today just like it was centuries ago. However unlike previous times when not much could be done against discrimination, in our times there are measures that are taken in order to suppress this problem. And one of them is called "Universal Declaration of Human Rights", one of the points of this document states: - "better standards of life without distinction of any kind such as race, colour, sex, language, religion, political or other opinion, national and social origin, property, birth or other status". This measure did actually help because it was a clear end to discrimination. After that, the results, based on thousands of tests, showed that between 1989 and 2000, the discrimination against black people has declined to 22%, down from 26%. The success of that is beginning to make a difference, but we have still got a long way to go. …
