Anti-abortion activists and conformists are becoming more and more vitalized and heartened due to the charges and convictions against Scott Peterson. Their reasoning is that if Scott Peterson was charged, and convicted, of killing his unborn child, there must be "a legal definition for a human being residing in the womb." They feel that since the fetus was defined as an "unborn human being", it also, consequently, has constitutional rights such as the right to life (birth).
