5. CONCLUSIONS
Thailand is blessed with spectacular wildlife, vibrant cities, rich history, ancient landmarks and many more tourist attractions, so that it makes this country truly one where every tourist could find something for him. Which is why for the past 28 years Thailand is named in top 20 of world most popular destinations. This also shows in the number of tourists to the country which grows every year and if there won’t be any national or regional government shifts or natural disasters then this trend will continue.
The marketing of Thailand has done a very good job as well since it is one of the most recognized countries in the world and altough Thailand is similar in climate, culture and landmarks it is more popular than other Asian countries.
Altough not always Thailand attracts the tourists it would want, like the sex tourists etc., but no one can deny that even they contribute to the Thailand GDP, of which tourism is almost 10% and it ranks Thailand in 34 place among 185 countries in the world. Domestic tourism is also a large contributor, with more than 20% of tourists beeing domestic it is important for Thailand to keep the economy growing so that people can take more trips as well.
Outbound tourism is rising also just like inbound and domestic, which in general is all related, since the more inbound tourists there is then there is more income for country and thus the people can travel more which positively relates to neighbouring countries and not only them. …
