As in the case of Gilbert and Bakan (1973) this experiment also concluded that: "judgements of facial asymmetry in expression are determined by biases of the perceiver rather than the asymmetry in actual expression." This evidence suggested right hemispheric dominance in perception, was now apparent in expression, therefore there was a dominance in the processing of emotional information in general.
If this experiment had any limitations, these were brought about by the environmental construction of the experiment. For example the position of the subject in the room of experiment, the lighting and possibly the time of examination i.e. the length of intervals. If, however, these limitations were overcome and investigation found the same result, then a suggestion would be to incorporate the affect of electrical stimulation in the experiment to see if there was any change. However there still remains many unsolved pieces in the puzzle of the brain.
