The roundtable structure is actually a rather easy method for the teacher because it does not require much preparation, money resources or time. It is more or less brainstorming/sharing ideas but it can also be used as a means of recycling vocabulary or revising grammar depending on what the teacher wants to gain during the lesson.
Roundtable encourages pupils to share their ideas and get acquainted with other students` ideas. To my mind, the roundtable structure helps students form a team where each participant is important – every new idea contributes to the group`s work and helps the group move forward to success. Also each student feels that their idea is of great value, especially if it is very original and the student has thought of it themselves.
