Nokia is one of the major companies operating in the world’s fastest growing industries – it is leader in mobile communications.

The company’s history dates back to 1967, when three independent enterprises were merged, forming one - Nokia Corporation. The company is located in Finland – a country on Europe’s outer fringes, which has population of just 5m. However, this has not impeded the company’s way to the top position in the mobile market not only in Finland but overall the world. In 1992 current Chief Executive Jorma Ollila was appointed to the post and he defined four basic principals as a key to the group’s future: “telecom oriented”, “global”, “focus” and “value-added”. The company changed its production strategy, becoming dedicated mobile phone company.
