It seems like the only thing that the wedding I described earlier has in common with the weddings of the past is two people officially tying their lives together. Of course there are still some traditional aspects, but they are purely symbolic. Indeed the changes in the way the wedding ceremony takes place looks like purely based on changes in the attitude of people towards this act. As we all know people have become a lot more secular, materialistic and farther from spirituality then they were before, this could also be the reason why marriage is not considered a sacred act anymore, at least not to extent it used to be. Some people never marry, but still live together with their partners. The process of a wedding ceremony is actually traditional and based on culture, and as all traditional things, if not taken care of, it may fade completely.…
