Should We Have Homework in Schools?

Homework, short for homework assignment, refers to tasks assigned to students by their teachers to be completed mostly outside of class. For the most part, homework assignments are oblugatory. But does the homwork really show the level of students knowledge and are they really necessary? Should we have homework in schools?
