Moreover, the development of a child from individual to social, proposed by Piaget, would presuppose child’s personal development without being interested in and, obviously, helped by other people, which is not plausible, because the child needs people around him in order to be able to learn adult’s ways of life. Thus, development from social to individual, emphasized by Vygotsky, is more realistic. All in all, the research Piaget made on egocentric speech, even if it raises questions and doubts regarding the development stages, is valuable, because it allowed other people such as Vygotsky to take it as a basis and improve it, thus creating a schema which does not raise questions about its plausibility. Piaget’s descriptive research, in which he did not interfere in the process of the child’s speech, was a good basis for Vygotsky’s research, in which Vygotsky, as it was mentioned, caused children to face obstacles, when they were using egocentric speech, and he obtained different result. Therefore with the effort of both psychologists it was possible to improve the schema and to determine that children are aware of the environment, and they use egocentric speech more frequently, when they face obstacles. …
