Introduction
Is it not a hilarious situation - novel “The Master and Margarita” has been analyzed and discussed, everyone knows the story and the main heroes, one and all has heard about it, but it has not been read by everybody…
There are just as many points of view as readers.
My individual central concern of this essay will be to define and describe my own very special point of view about this novel. The major focus of this research will be to help the reader recognize the theme of pleasure and money issue in the novel “The Master and Margarita”.
The purpose of this paper will be analyzing novel’s theme through the psychoanalyses and hysterical subjects’ aspect. Unconsciously it is the author’s approach of story; even it is his unwitting achievement. Money and pleasure is non-stop consideration through the entire story of this novel. And what else is the pleasure in the Bulgakov’s phenomenal fairy-tale than eternal love and affection desire?
Desire
It is quite apparent, that all heroes of the story are hysterical and the main heroes have been in psychiatric clinic. Besides, the sickness in this hard-luck story is schizophrenia - dividing of personality. But let us try to sift hysterical characters, taking psychoanalysis theory seriously, which maybe in other circumstances we would qualify exclusively and solely as 20th century’s greatest provocations to humanity and whole mankind.
For the first time money topic appears on Pontius Pilate dialogue with Yeshua Ha-Notsri, where Pontius Pilate laughed with one cheek, called out: “Oh city of Jerusalem! What tales you have to tell! A tax-collector, did you hear, throwing away his money!”
