The first written codes of law were produced by the Sumerians around 2100-2050 B.C. Since that time, law has been changed, edited, and developed. At the beginning of the development of law, only the most extreme crimes such as murder were considered to be criminal. In this case, the connection between law and morality was easy to see.
In the course of time, many different changes have been introduced. Therefore, nowadays, the connection between law and morality is not so clear as it was in the past. Most people would agree that murder is morally wrong and illegal. However, few people would consider that parking car in the parking-lot for disabled persons is immoral, despite being illegal.
