The last factor that leads to misery in this world is the lack of a temperate middle level in all workings of Universe. I.e. rain is useful and necessary, but why do we need floods? Philo claims that there is frequently too much or too little of something.
To sum up, Philo believes that by simply looking at the human condition with no presuppositions as to what God is, we would not assume that he is good, because the workings of the Universe do not confirm the assumptions we have about God’s infinitely good moral qualities.
