Segregation in the mosque will remain an issue in Islam if women continue to remain silent about their thoughts and problems about this matter. Women should not have to feel forced to confine themselves in tight rooms or basements in order to pray and worship in the mosque. It is a shame for the leaders of the mosque and especially the men who allow this, as it is cruel, uncivil and inhumane. Women need to take a stance on what they believe is right and fight for their space in the mosque. Everyone is human and everyone is equal therefore men cannot play God and think they are superior to women when this is not true. They have no right to oppress women in this way and it needs to change now before this segregation lasts for longer than it already has. Men and women were made equal and women can stop this idea of superiority and inferiority by voicing their opinions, avoiding conformity and standing up for what they believe is right so that all men and women can finally reach the universal goal of equality among all.
