When comparing the two stories of the floods, a religious ideology is drawn to my attention; following the beliefs of a monotheistic religion or one of a polytheistic religion. In the story of Gilgamesh there are several G-D's. It says in the passage, "There was Anu, lord of the firmament, their father, and warrior Enlil their counsellor, Ninurta the helper, and Ennugi watcher over canals". In the story of Noah there is one G-D that rules everything. I believe that it is more beneficial and realistic to follow a monotheistic religion. …
