John Adams, I believe, was the most Independent of them all. Adams once said "I must be independent as a man" and that he was. Adams' Independence, I believe, was too much that it got him in trouble. He would fight before he would give in. People would call him "the atlas of independence". He didn't want to write the constitution because he said he didn't have enough time. When Adams was elected president of the United States he seemed to take advantage of the power. He kept Georges Washington's original cabinet but ignored them. Adams didn't want to pick sides with France or England which led to no support from either of them. Adams lost bid for re-election and he left town so he wouldn't have to be a part of the next inauguration. He didn't have many friends after that.…
