It's sad that when asked to name an event that changed their lives, many people will name a negative event. Pearl Harbor, December 7, 1941, was day of infamy in American history. Even people that weren't alive then shudder at the stories of the screaming dive bombers dropping torpedoes at the ships in the early morning hours. Crashing into ships full of horror stricken seamen. When John Kennedy was killed in 1963, everyone knows where and what they were doing when they heard the news. People that had never met him wept openly in public. Every person knows what they were doing and what was going through their head when the World Trade Center and the Pentagon were attacked. It might be because these events are major happenings and changed the world. Whether or not its events that warm the heart, or make tears fall, certain things can change a person's personality, actions, or lives. Trauma can change a person around, alter their morals, and affect their views on life and other people. World War II was a massive, multi-faceted war. …
