As Great Britain has a great role in the history of exploring the Globe and I am really interested in it, I decided to investigate more on this subject. I would like to mention that the first Globe explorers were seafarers. I chose, in my opinion, the most significant figures among explorers in British history: pirate and navigator John Cabot (15th century), pirate and explorer Sir Francis Drake (16th century), pirate (buccaneer1) Sir Henry Morgan (17th century) and navigator and explorer James Cook (18th century). I chose these - as I dare to call them - history makers, firstly, because they did really significant discoveries in the field of navigation and exploration and were the very first who did that. Secondly, because they lived in different centuries and one after the other created the history of British navigation.
Thirdly, we can’t trust the theories, developed on the investigations, done by John Cabot, Sir Francis Drake, Sir Henry Morgan and James Cook, because of the lack of evidence. Therefore many stories about these famous explorers might be just myths, and, on my opinion, it is interesting to get acquainted with different theories.
These men also made famous the name of Great Britain, spread the English language into the World and carried enormous amount of treasures to British monarchs. …
