The most affective element in Singin in the Rain was the use of satire in the script and especially dealing with Mr. Simpson. The use of satire added a comical aspect to the film and it also allowed the viewer to laugh at authority. Mr. Simpson is the head of the film company and yet he doesn't seem very bright and speaks from two sides of him mouth. This is shown particularly well in two scenes in the film.…
