Both the proponents and opponents have valid arguments for and against GMF, although the opponents make out the use of GMF inherently flawed there are obviously benefits that could come from GMF. Ideally both groups could come to some arrangement that would help lessen these risks of GMF and let humanity and business both enjoy the fruits of GMF. Humans are born with inherent rights by virtue of their humanity, but what use are these rights if they are not matched by duties. (Bentham, 1994,p.308) By implementing strict government guidelines for GMF and having an impartial independent body to test these new technologies before they are released into the environment and into the market place the health and safety of consumers could be assured. This, along with accountability being extended to corporations and their obligations/duties beyond borders to ensure the safety of people in the Third world.…
