Conclusion
You cannot ask a terrorist or a murderer politely to reveal to you where they are going to strike or where he has hidden the body? Why would they indict themselves? If we even remove the threat of torture from their minds, then how are we to prove those numerous cases where the body was never found but the murderers are known ? Are we hoping that the murderers will become saints and indict themselves and reveal where they have hidden the body??. No. This is not the way this world works. We cannot depend on saying Hello. To the terrorists and asking them their motives. The only way to get this vital information is to break them. And, unfortunately the only way to break them is to torture them. Full stop. Psychological methods are more humane, Yes but they are too long drawn and time consuming. Most cases have some time limit, evidence for a rape case cannot be found after 2 weeks nor can the body be exhumed which has been burnt. Time is a big consideration.
