Two pie charts bellow give information about the number of degrees acquired by Canadians. The age range of the groups varies from 25 to 35 and between 45 to 55.
The total number of Canadians that hold a post-school degree almost doubled compare the older age group and the younger, 213400 compared to 515600.
It can be seen that there is a dramatic increase in the proportion of Science, Maths, Computers group from 10% to 18% in older generations respectively.
In the same time, subjects such as administration, other fields and MBA had a slight change with difference in percentages around 3 to 4%, but the percentage of MBA holders doubled.
However, there is a small 1% drop in social science and arts group, from 21% to 20%.
For other majors such as humanities and education, they become less popular among younger people.
Looking at the amount of nursing and engineering, both were rise from 4% to 10% respectively as the number of Canada residents grew.
Overall, the most common areas among both groups are social signs and arts. The most significant difference happened with engineering. Other spheres have similar percentage of direction interest for two age categories.
