Structural Unemployment and Government Policies

To my mind, it helps people very much because it gives them extra money. It is much better than sitting at home without anything! Also this employment office offers trainings and courses for people. For example, to improve your skills, you can study languages, business. Also you can acquire a profession of hairdresser or manicurist what gives you an opportunity to start working! All programs of State employment office certainly give an opportunity easier to integrate in labor market.
The government has to look on the problem of structural unemployment very seriously to protect citizens from it and to increase the wealth and the living standard of them. I agree completely with the policy of our State employment service because I have seen how it actually works. Many relatives and friends of mine use its help and become more competitive in the labor market. Many of them with the help of it have become employed again. If we will have smart and skilled work-force in Latvia, the rate structural unemployment will be inferior.
