Extract

Moreover, I found the listening task very helpful. It gave me an opportunity to become more self-aware. I paid closer to attention to how I listen. I realized I am very quick to respond, which is not always necessary. Thus, my goal for the future conversations is to show the emotion that I listen, and I understand. Finally, to allow myself to take time and think before I answer to that person. In addition, the 4 ears model was very helpful in that situation. Especially, to paraphrase and make sure I am following and understanding the content the other person is conveying. Before I thought it showed that I was not listening, but now I realized it was not the case.

4. Conclusion
At the end of this module I became more self-aware about the way I communicate, my style, personality and what impact I have on others. In addition, it helped me realize what are the areas for improvement and what other skills or personality traits I am lacking. Overall, I strongly believe I am a good communicator already, but by improving some of the skills I can become excellent at communication and negotiation.
