Euthanasia is the practice of ending a person's life so as to release them from unbearable suffering or an incurable disease. There are two different types: passive euthanasia occurs when all means are not carried out to prevent a person's death, whereas during active euthanasia, direct actions are performed which will lead to a painless death in a person who is horrendously suffering.
There is general consensus around the world that passive euthanasia is morally right in some cases, especially when the patient has remained in a permanent vegetative state for some time. …
