Another way of advertising is adding a “bonus item” to a purchase. For example, if a person buys a new smartphone, he or she gets a phone case of choice along with it. Very often cars and other expensive things have additional items that come with the original object people buy. For instance, you will rarely see a man or a woman wearing a Ducati swimsuit because it is most likely to be a gift for someone who has bought this particular motorcycle; however, this does not stop other people from gaining this item in another way. Sometimes, it is possible to see people selling stuff, which cannot be purchased separately. This can be a great way of gaining additional money if the item is not needed, and fresh from the factory.
Consumer behaviour is one of the main reasons why I will never purchase Apple products. It is not that I am a snob, I simply do not see the point in paying a rather high price for an item that is popular, trendy just because it is considered “cool”.
To sum up, people are psychological creatures that are quite easy to manipulate with, therefore many advertisements manage to affect our brain in a bizarre way that makes us buy things we do not need.…
