Why be alone instead of being in gangs? Adolescents that have Family problems often join gangs because they are not treated well or loved from their parents. Also, adolescents join because of poverty or because they feel out of society. Gangs are usually located in the inner cities where building, people, and streets are in bad condition. Gangs usually dress almost the same, and the Greasers from the Outsiders dress with jeans and t-shirt. They got their name Greasers because they put oil in their hair.
