Pacients stāv ar seju pret stāvrežģi. Tura r rokām salveti. Zods un deguns piespiesti, ārējās auss ejas līnija 45 leņķī pret detektoru. Pacientam palūdz maksimāli plati atvērt muti. Centrālais stars iet cauri deguna blakusdobumiem.
