Homework has been part of school life for generations, and for many students it seems almost impossible to imagine education without it. After several hours of lessons, students are often expected to continue studying at home by completing exercises, reading texts, preparing presentations, revising for tests, researching information, or finishing work that could not be completed during lessons. Supporters of homework argue that it gives students an opportunity to practise what they have learned, develop responsibility, prepare for future lessons, and become more independent.
