Now, Latvia is on a very serious and responsible entering - the Europenian Union and NATO. For better understanding, why Latvia’s politics includes so many contracts and other obligations with other states, why Latvia use that kind of politic (parliamentary equipment, proportional vote system, etc.), analysis must be done about democracy and its problems in Latvia after 1990. Democracy is a base of politic in the country – democratic regime, what kind of political equipment will be in the country, it means, that democracy defines, what will be relationship between country and its inhabitants. Conception of democracy is very unclear and it differs in every country, that’s why it is necessary to make explanations of democracy and look to Latvia’s example.
Conception of democracy is very extensive and polysemantic. Democracy together with other conceptions like power, freedom and equality, belong to essential arguable conceptions. All the time – in the past, now, in the future – there will be disagreement about precise this conception explanation. There is no common definition about conception of democracy. Democracy, like justification of power, is discrete from democracy, like political equipment. …
