Robert Grave has written impressive, thrilling and very interesting story – “The Shout” which contains different characters, emotive events and big mystery. It’s very interesting that the author has written the story in the story – it is clear at the beginning when a person called Crossley narrates another story. There are only three main characters - Rachel, her husband Richard and one mysterious person – Charles. For example, when I read this description: “ Rachel was graceful, small, with eyes unusually blue for the blackness of her hair, delicate in her movements, and with a voice rather low – pitched; she had freakish sense of humor,” I can easily imagine this person like a real human being and in this wise the story seems more and more intriguing.
Secondly, “The Shout” fetches reader with mystery that we can find at every turn.…
