This novel includes two parts: “The Thing Was” (38 chapters) and “And the Thing Became” (14 chapters). The action takes place in Ecuador, in a seaport, called Guayaquil. Later on it takes place in the Galapagos Archipelago, on the island Santa Rosalia. The author describes the main problem in the first part, but gives the solution in the second part.

In this novel the author describes all the positive and negative things the human race has developed. He ridicules at people’s thoughts, at the main problems that they have in their lives, at their opinions, at their aims and targets. …
