In every time people wanted to know what will happen with them in the future? It was like unsolvable mystery. Also they were afraid of bad things which could happen; these fears were the basis of predictions. So to open the veil of secrecy and protect themselves from dark side of life they used help of people who has abilities which couldn't be explained by laws of modern science. Nowadays we call them prophets.
In the mind of nowadays people appear many stereotypes. Someone doesn't bother about them, someone concerns with part of irony, but someone believes in that very cautiously. Most of known predictions came from the West. …
