Change is seen as the ability to make or become different. The philosopher Heraclites once stated that "There is nothing permanent except change". This shows that everything is constantly changing, and supports the notion that change is inevitable. Oliver Twist, by Charles Dickens, Robert Owen 1771-1858 by Adam Anderson and Billy by Pamela Stephenson all demonstrate the process of change, and the different concepts that change can partake. Through studying these texts we learn a lot about the nature of change. …
