Success
Sir Arthur Conan Doyle became successful after stories about Sherlock Holmes and it's his the most famous work nowadays also.  There are so many books about Sherlock.
Thanks to Sherlock Holmes stories, sir Arthur Conan Doyle was one of the most high – paying writers in England. (4)

Interesting facts
When sir Arthur learned in university his least favourite subject was maths and he was bothered by classmates - Moriarty brothers. Hence the character Moriarty – maths professor.
People couldn't understand that Sherlock Holmes is unreal character so they sent lots of letters with requests for help to Baker street 221b – fictional address of Sherlock. 
Once Doyle again got a letter with request and decided to help the person who wrote a letter. (5)
