1 How are drugs catergorised?
The Medicines Act 1968 divides drugs into three categories, depending on the dangers they pose and the risk of being misused. The categories are:
Prescription Only Medicines (POM) may be sold or supplied to the public only on the production of a prescription, usually at a pharmacy. They may be administered only under the direction of someone with the authority to write a prescription,(GP-General Practitioner, nurse, etc.).…
