My opinion
Article name is “The Art of Communicating Effectively’’ but I think it could be easily called “your pocket manual” on how to give effective presentation.
For article this size on such big and diverse topic it has all it takes to be called a basis of presentation art. I think it is pretty detailed and well written, and it has a huge potential of being helpful not only to me and my fellow university colleagues during studies, but also after we graduate, in our daily and business lives as well. As for many of students, including me, who
finished school already a while ago, it’s nice to refresh the knowledge of presenting, since we will be in close touch with it for the next three years and further more. This article gave me not only a refresher course, but also deeper and more qualitative insight and explanation why some things
should be done in certain way in order to maximise effect of your performance.
Second, while reading the article, it became quite clear to me, why during some lectures I can’t focus my attention no matter how hard I try and keep on looking at my watch anticipating the end of it, although topic being presented in fact is really interesting. This again brought me to the value of effective presenting and proper way of communication during oral presentation. …
