Already the name The Nobel Peace Prize contains some kind of a magical flavour. When you know that each one who has received this prize has made, is making and will make a difference. Those who come into this circle are those who can take people and nations to the next level of development – physical, mental and spiritual. So here I would like to discuss some different aspects of this prize – deciding criteria, winners and the whole process.

First of all I would like to bring out the main ideas in Albert Nobel’s will. Criteria that the Peace Prize should be based on: ” The capital, invested in safe securities by my executors, shall constitute a fund, the interest on which shall be annually distributed in the form of prizes to those who, during the preceding year, shall have conferred the greatest benefit on mankind… and one part to the person who shall have done the most or the best work for fraternity between the nations, for the abolition or reduction of standing armies and for the holding and promotion of peace congresses.”…
