Brief Plot Summary
Jacob Riis lives Ribe, Denmark. After his beloved rejects him he sets off to America to start a new life. Riis wanders around America without food, job, money or any friends. He lives like a slum for number of years, until he finds a job as a reporter in a newspaper and climbs up the ladder to become one of the most known photo-journalists and social reformers in the history of The United States.…
