By the way, it looks like she DEMONSTRATES the spindle.
Spindle – it’s a strictly female occupation that’s why stresses her femininity.
If look on this painting at a glimpse it may seem a photo. But it’s only my personal vision.
The painting is quite bright in spite of the heroine’s sadness. The title of the painting is „Melancholy Maidens”. So I was right, the mood of the lady is melancholy.
If look on this painting briefly it looks realistic, like a photo. But maybe it’s only in my vision.
