Extract

The story starts by brief description of the setting and characters which are illustrated in exposition. Smith and Braling are two about thirty-five men, struggling with their marriages. The author abruptly connects to the conversation that has already started and the reader can only guess what made Smith ask Braling: “But why so early?” However, the outset is made very clear as the dialogue between the characters follows. Both men find themselves trapt in their marriages and long for personal freedom and desire to go Rio de Janeiro. Being afraid of the possible changes being done both men does nothing but endure the situation. …
