Macbeth was led by wicked thoughts of the witches. Being told that he will be made thane of cawdor he had a great desire for power. He killed people for his own benefit. He thought of himself only. He was easily tempted to commit a murder to become king. He was becoming a powerful man. After he committed his first murder and became the king of Scotland he had more urge to continue what he was doing to get where he wants to be.
